I love the summer program at her school. Every week they have Ijams, Little Ponderosa, a bounce house, and water days. The older kids take field trips, but the younger ones have the field trips come to them! Ella Kate loves the little animals (maybe a vet one day....?).
Brownies for Daddy (well, ok, for Mommy, too!) We had a fun time making some tonight while Daddy was out playing basketball. Ella Kate kept saying "Mmmm! Yummy! I LOVE brownies!" while she made a mess "cleaning" the bowl and spoon.
This is what you do when you don't have a pool! Make your own water park!
Picnic after playing in the water. Wonderful summer days!
Reading a few of her favorite books.
Visit with Gran-Gran (my Dad's mother). She's almost 98.5! Amazing, but the numbers are starting to catch up with her.
Catharine/Kathryn (I'm her only granddaughter; she has 4 grandsons)
Four generations!
Having a great time in the hotel. She enjoyed running up and down the hall, the swimming pool (where we saw a tiny frog), and the afternoon cookies!

Little Gym Graduation

Little Gym Graduation
Ella Kate and her favorite friends, Fenn and Layla.
Trying to get 2 year olds to pose for a picture is pretty impossible!
As close to a group shot as we were gonna get!
Congrats, Fenn!
Miss Layla waiting patiently (with hands on hips).
Way to go, Layla!
Accepting her award
So proud!
Now that's a ball hog!
She always has to have that one slightly pinkish ball.
Her first somersault on the beam (with assistance from Ms. Sarah!).
Silly Monkey
Can just quite get it!
This looks innocent enough, but I think she was actually trying to tell Fenn she didn't want to wait- it was her turn!
Ella Kate's little man, Fenn :)

Last pictures from the Charleston trip & some rainy day shots

May Showers
Lovin' on Miss Abbey (Ella Kate's new 'baby').
Notice the tu-tu. She wore it most of the day and got lots of attention. Several older gentlemen asked if she could do a pirouette!
Tu-tu and the matching headband stayed on even at lunch :)
Admiring Mommy's new necklace. Love The Market in Charleston!
